Wrapping up Arts in Schools month; we are so grateful for the partnership that we have with Brevard Philharmonic. They provide Music in the Schools, which enables various programs for our students at many intervals during their academic journey. Last week, they worked to bring an outstanding performance, Sounds of America: The Jan and Doug Hart Eighth Grade Concert. The performance incorporated music, led by artistic director James c. Fellenbaum and paintings by Asheville artist Kira Bursky, at Brevard College Porter Center for TCS eighth graders. #TCSTogether #TCSYes

Dear TCS Families,
We would like to send you an update during this trying time, as wildfires have officially entered Transylvania County. Transylvania County School campuses are currently not in evacuation zones; therefore, they will remain open. We are in communication with Transylvania County Emergency Services and will continue to work with them to monitor the situation. As our county has been placed in a code purple, we have suspended all outdoor activities for students and will continue to make adjustments as needed. We understand that many of you have been impacted by these wildfires and we are here for you; please reach out to your child’s school for additional support. A tremendous thank you goes out to our first responders, who have been working tirelessly during the past week, and always, to keep our communities safe. Meningococcal and Tdap Vaccine Campaign
We will be offering Meningococcal Vaccine (MCV4) and Tdap booster to our current 6th grade students the week of April 21st at school. A Meningococcal Vaccine and a Tdap booster are required by NC Law for all incoming 7th grade students and should be received prior to school starting in August. Permission forms can be filled out online with the link below or a hard copy can be picked up from the office. Permission forms are due by Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Rosman Middle School had a Stem Bee on Friday; showcasing students that could spell and give definitions for the stem words that they have been studying. Each class winner went on to compete to be a grade level representative in the Bee. There were two 8th graders left at the end to spell it out-- way to go! #TCSYes
